**Position overview**

This **Plumber** position presents a unique opportunity to work on the largest building in BC, exposing you to a diverse range of exciting systems. By leveraging your expertise in diagnosing and promptly resolving plumbing issues, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to a seamless and efficient workflow, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the building's infrastructure and ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our clients. A sample of the many systems you will be responsible for include sewage, fire protection, dyke pump stations, fire hydrants and back flow preventers throughout Sea Island.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Inspecting, repairing, and testing backflow assemblies
- Preventative and corrective maintenance of sewer, storm and dyke pump stations
- Responding to flooding: sewer/ storm backups, waterline/water main breaks
- Responding to hydronic leaks: chilled, heating or glycol systems
- Responding to natural gas or diesel fuel system issues
- Responding to fire suppression system issues

**Key qualifications include**:

- Three years’ recent, related experience, supplemented by a BC Trade Qualification as a Plumber/Gas fitter and a Cross Connection Control tester certification
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment with other trades, as well as independently, with little supervision
- Demonstrated ability to make safety a top priority
- Valid BC driver’s license

Shift work is required as the Maintenance Department operates on a 24-hour basis.

**Salary Range **:$72,544 to $94,811 per annum, based on 40 hours per week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications and internal equity.
