Dental Assistant

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including working with pediatric patients or in orthodontics as required.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries when needed.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with ortho is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software system, Tracker is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure while providing compassionate care to patients.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience as a dental receptionist is an advantage.
