**Summary**

As Loan Manager, you will perform a broad range of integral functions for Grasslands’ lending operations, including the management and tracking of existing loans, the evaluation, underwriting, and closing of new loans, and the administration of Grasslands’ extensive securitization business. You will lead the process for implementation of additional automation through technology as both the owned and administered loan portfolio grows.

Your role will include:

- Administering all lending activities for insurance-backed loan operations, along with securitized insurance-backed loan operations
- Assessing a borrower’s financial position and history to determine their creditworthiness
- Determining loan structures and pricing options for a given borrower
- Managing the gathering of financial information from potential borrowers
- Managing the preparation of detailed spreadsheets which clearly present key financial information on a loan-by-loan basis
- Communicating with existing and prospective borrowers as a client relations representative of Grasslands
- Leading the technology integration process, and having a significant role in the technology procurement and development process, as Grasslands pursues the maximum possible automation of its activities
- Coordinating and meeting concurrent deadlines with external parties as it relates to the servicing, financing and security for Grasslands’ loan book
- Participating and presenting in team meetings

**Required Skills or Experience**
- A CPA designation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong ability to multitask and balance competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A self-starter with problem-solving initiative and the ability to learn quickly
- Committed to producing meticulous, accurate, and thorough work product
- Significant experience with the Microsoft Office suite

**Nice to Have Skills or Experience**
- Experience within the Canadian insurance market
- Experience within the Canadian insurance-backed lending market
- Experience with software-based approaches to lending and underwriting
