Mercedes-Benz Kitchener-Waterloo is looking for a part-time Service Assistant

This position is responsible for greeting and assisting customers in the Service department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greets and directs customers to the appropriate personnel.
- Understands verbal work orders and instructions.
- Reads material such as detailed forms, standard memos, or letters.
- Contacts porters to assist in daily tasks.
- Ensures the lounge areas are fully stocked and clean (see Inventory Checklist for Lounge and Kitchen)
- Fill customer vehicles with windshield washer fluid.
- Wash vehicles after the service has been complete.
- Bring customer vehicles to an accessible parking spot available for pick up.
- Schedules customer transportation according to customer requests and service schedules.
- Transports customers to requested locations after they have relinquished their vehicles for service at the dealership.
- Transports customer vehicles to requested locations after they have been serviced.
- Picks up customers from specified locations and transports them back to the dealership following the servicing of vehicles.
- Picks up customer vehicles from specified locations and transports them back to the dealership for service.
- Completes all required documentation for loaner/rental agreements.
- Inspects customer vehicle before departure and/or return to the service centre.
- Ensures valet vehicles are fueled.
- Ensures shuttle vehicles are always fueled and clean, parked inside in the winter season.
- Delivers and picks up parts from dealerships and garages.
- Delivers and picks up documents and mailings.
- Stocks customer facilities with all necessary amenities.
- Maintains cleanliness of customer facilities, include snow removal and salting as needed.
- Ensures the parking lot is clean and free of garbage, leaves, and other debris.
- Picks up supplies for the dealership as required.
- Assists in various administrative duties as required (i.e., Faxing, mailing etc.).
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team member and management in a team environment.
- Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness always.
- Follow a plant water schedule.

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in automotive field is an asset.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission is required.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
- A clean driver abstract and the ability to drive a manual transmission is required.
- Knowledge of South Ontario Area.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data.

The hours for this position are between 3-12 hours per week.
