Nurturing Behaviours Inc. provides ABA & respite services to children & youth 2-18 years of age. Our respite services are provided within families homes, community locations, our centre, or the respite workers home (when available). Respite services are a completely separate service than our ABA therapy. Our goal is to provide respite services so parents/guardians can have a break to prevent burnout, as well as to provide the child/youth with a fun & safe environment. This position is a contract based role, that is part time. The role will require evenings & weekends, with more potential daytime hours throughout the summer. There will be the opportunity for this position to become employee based, as well as to grow into more hours etc.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 1:1 support to children & youth with developmental or physical disabilities
- Provide transportation to the individual during respite (Ex: travel to a park, our centre, a pool etc.)
- Communicate availability to Administrative Assistant, so that they can schedule respite accordingly.
- Communicate well with families and other team members.
- Update communication log following respite hours

Skill/Qualifications:

- Experience providing support to individuals with a disability
- Patient, and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Education and training in a related field
- Access to a reliable vehicle (most provide proof of license & insurance)
- Current copy of a clean criminal record & vulnerable sector search

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
