Respite Support Worker

Bluewater Respite is a private owned business that provides in-home supports, and out of home respite care for children, youth and adults. Currently we are adding members to our team in London, Glencoe, Ilderton and surrounding areas.

This position is an Independent Contract and requires the ability to support clients who have a wide range of developmental needs, emotional needs and mental health.

Applicants require experience or background in working with Developmental Disabilities, Dual-Diagnosis, Spectrum Disorder and Mental Health. All applicants must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, the ability to intervene in crisis situations and communicate successfully with clients and families.

**This position requires-**

**Evening, weekend, PD day and increased summer availability**

**Experience with clients demonstrating aggression**

**Ability to commute to and from shifts**

Applicants must possess the following
- Post Graduate Degree, such as Developmental Service Worker, Child and Youth Care Worker or Social Service Worker or an equivalent

Experience with children, youth and/or adults with varying special needs.

Knowledge and/or experience with mental health challenges

Commitment to providing quality of life experiences in home and in the community.

First Aid and CPR certificate

Must possess certification in CPI or willing to complete this training

Access to a vehicle, proof of insurance, a G license and provide a copy of your Driver's abstract

Must provide a criminal reference check and vulnerable sector check

Strong interpersonal skills

**Salary**: $28.00 per hour

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
