**The Role**:
The Sales Coaching Specialist is a 6-month secondment opportunity with the L&D Team. As a Sales Coaching Specialist - L&D, you will mentor and develop new hires over a 3-6 month post-training period, ensuring they achieve sales targets, follow company procedures, and seamlessly transition to the sales floor. Reporting to the L&D Senior Training Manager, you’ll play a key role in fostering a high-performing team culture while enhancing your leadership and coaching skills.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Leadership and Coaching
- Lead and Motivate New Hires: Inspire and drive the new hires to exceed sales targets, while ensuring a supportive, inclusive, and innovative team environment.
- Coach and Develop New Hires: Provide regular coaching, training, and feedback to enhance the new hire’s performance and skill set, focusing on both individual and collective growth. This includes one on one training and mini training sessions.
- Conflict Management and Resolution: Use empathy and effective leadership to manage and resolve conflicts, maintaining a positive and respectful work environment. Evaluate and Measure Performance: Regularly assess team and individual performance, providing actionable feedback and identifying areas for improvement to ensure that the new hires align with company objectives and KPIs.- Training and Development
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the L&D Team and Reservations Managers to provide feedback and recommendations for follow-up trainings.
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Lead ongoing training sessions, including Amadeus skills training for new hires, Sales Training, Overcoming Objections Training, and help develop training materials for new mini sessions.
- Assess Training Needs and Effectiveness: Participate in training needs analyses to identify gaps in skills, and assess the effectiveness of training programs to ensure that learned skills are integrated into employees' daily work behaviors. Continuous Improvement: Work with the L&D Senior Training Manager to continually evolve in-house training programs, ensuring they remain relevant and effective. Explore cost-effective options such as self-training programs to improve accessibility and scalability.- Sales Performance and Coordination
- Drive Sales Success: Ensure that the new hires meet and exceed destination sales targets, through targeted coaching on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Monitor KPIs: Supervise and track the new hires' progress against monthly, quarterly, and year-end KPIs, promoting transparency and accountability while encouraging a growth mindset among team members. Collaborate for Improvement Plans: Partner with the L&D Senior Training Manager and other managers to assess employees' skills and productivity, developing improvement plans and providing necessary training support.- People Management
Feedback and Reporting: Regularly provide feedback to the L&D Senior Training Manager on employee progress and training effectiveness. Help prepare monthly training activity reports for senior leadership.
