The Cider House is the first of its kind Our beach side, cider-focused taphouse serves everything from burgers and pasta to tacos and some exceptionally unique plant-based dishes that complement our 20 taps of locally crafted B.C. Ciders. We are located at Yew & York Street in Kitsilano.

We are on the lookout for positive and hardworking people to add to our team. Our restaurant provides a fun, upbeat environment with key attention given to each employee's work/life balance and the opportunity for health and wellness benefits. The Cider House offers a great opportunity for emerging chefs to utilize their individual talents to inspire and create unique offerings for our guests.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time prep/line cooks with a starting wage between $19-$25 depending on experience.

Qualifications:

- 1+ years as a line or prep cook in a professional kitchen. Prefer individuals with a passion or experience in plant-based cooking/creation
- Managing food safety and sanitation guidelines. Food Safe Level 1 (we can help with facilitating this program)
- Preparing ingredients for use in plant-based dishes
- Cooking plant-based dishes to order
- Maintaining a exceptionally clean and organized kitchen
- Working well with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
- Knowledge of plant-based cooking and ingredients
- Ability to work under pressure and keep a cool head
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for plant-based cooking and a commitment to the upmost in food quality
- A desire to build a career within an expanding organization
- Lives in Vancouver

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-40 per week

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
