**Nature & Scope**:
Reporting directly to the Supervisor of School-Age Care, the Enhanced Support Worker collaborates with team members and Community Living Kingston to assist in supporting participants with special needs and the program as a whole.
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing support to staff working with children with special needs
- Providing one-on-one support to children with special needs with a focus on inclusion
- Acting in a manner that is consistent with the YMCA mission statement, YMCA policies and Ministry of Education requirements
- Working collaboratively with staff team to provide a safe environment, where everyone has a sense of belonging
**Qualifications**:
- Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than 120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certifications
- Up to date immunization record
- Experience working with children ages 3.8-12 years
- Post Secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Autism, Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Work preferred
