Respite Support Worker

Our priority is to Increase Independence and Decrease Isolation through one-on-one support. Our services allow families/caregivers to take a break from providing care for their loved ones. with a peace of mind knowing they will be care for properly.
Respite Workers assist people with developmental disabilities to find a satisfying and purposeful place in their community by enhancing their quality of life and promoting personal growth. Respite Workers foster community inclusion, assist with activities of daily living, promote the implementation of person-centred plans, and may also assist with aspects of personal care.
**Responsibility**
- Providing in-home or out-of-home respite care, depending on the needs of the family and of the clients needs.
- Follow clients care plan.
- Adhere to professional standards, follow company policies and procedures.
- Work under the direction of the respite worker supervisor.
- Fill out reports.
- Clock In & out using mobile app or web browser.
- Follow all health and safety rules and standards.
- Cooperate with coworkers.
- Participate in virtual team meetings.
**Requirements**:
- Education and/or experience in Developmental Services/Child & Youth worker/ Social worker or a related field is an asset be not a requirement.
- Ability to work amongst diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Not Required but will be an asset is a Vehicle and Valid G Driver’s License.
- Computer literacy (ms office, clock-in app).
- Ability to wear all supplied PPE while working when necessary.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $17.00-$24.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Level 3 masks, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be supplied
Caregivers are limited to working with only a selected amount of clients to minimize risks
