|About the role

The Product Manager - Lead, Emerging Payment Products, will be part of the Product Management group that plays a role in advancing Payments Canada’s objective to transfer the business and shape the future of payments. The incumbent is responsible for hands-on day-to-day activities coordinating, analyzing and executing on Emerging Payment Products work packages, including activities for the Real-time Rail (RTR). This role will collaborate closely with Transform, Delivery, Run pillars as well as other cross-functional, to provide detailed knowledge of market conditions needed to ensure that necessary features, functionality and supporting structures are in place.

|What you’ll do

**Responsible of the Senior Product Manager include**:

- Product Lifecycle Support: Assist in the pre-discovery and discovery phases of the product lifecycle by utilizing market research and stakeholder insights to develop compelling value propositions and business requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Industry Relations, Communications, Delivery, Operations, and Risk groups, to achieve successful outcomes and manage interactions proactively.
- Administrative Coordination: Coordinate stakeholder meetings, prepare high-quality content for executive engagements, and optimize processes to foster team alignment and improve outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Research: Conduct data analysis, develop journey flows, review product designs for user experience, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance user flows and resolve issues.
- Strategy and Business Development: Drive the development and submission of business cases, oversee the end-to-end process of resolving business issues, and provide thought leadership on product strategy and innovation initiatives.

|Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive work experience in product management, business analysis, or research preferably in the financial sector;
- Ability to effectively bridge cross-functional teams, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery of the defined output;
- Ability to solve complex problems requiring cross organization strategy alignment;
- Leadership and creating clarity on ambiguous matters;
- Experience with developing and promoting product-led strategies;
- Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
- Government of Canada Reliability clearance or eligibility to obtain.

|Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of payments is considered an asset;
- Experience working in a matrix environment is considered an asset.
