Reporting to the Director, Development and Communications, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of all programs and services at the Unionville Community Centre for Seniors (UCCS)

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Programming**:

- Responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating daily operations of UCCS to ensure programs and services meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of its clients
- Develop a recruitment and retention strategy to ensure an optimal membership base
- Demonstrate excellent customer service by greeting and engaging with participants/UCCS members
- Ensures regular communications, both print and digital, are provided to clients and prospects to notify of changes, new programs, campus developments and other opportunities within UCCS
- Maintain accurate client records including personal information, attendance, payments etc.

**Volunteer Management**:

- Maintain a strong relationship with the UCCS Members’ Council by regularly attending and contributing to scheduled meetings
- Provide program specific orientation and training to volunteers
- Supervise volunteers in their roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to serving on committees, operating programs and supporting special events
- Ensure volunteers are familiar with and act in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures

**Community Development**:

- Act as a liaison between the community centre and local seniors service providers, healthcare agencies and seniors housing authorities
- Coordinate with organizational representatives and clinicians to deliver special programming
- Seek partnership opportunities to collaborate and execute the annual Seniors Active Living Fair

**Administrative**:

- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (e.g. attendance, petty cash management, incident/accident reports, opening and closing procedures)
- Ensure confidentiality of all information pertaining to staff, clients and facility operations
- Conduct quality assurance audits and assessments, assist with program evaluations and annual reporting to Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility
- Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff

**Health and Safety**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants, staff and volunteers at UCCS satellite locations
- Provide an organized environment for program and special event execution
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of program equipment and materials
- Keep all work areas clean and free from hazards and clutter

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Education in event management, program development, or public relations
- Experience in event management, program delivery would be an asset
- Must have personal transportation
- Must be able to lift, push/pull 50 lbs
- Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Superior time management skills with the ability to take initiative
- Keen attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
- Experience with a senior’s environment as asset

A Vulnerable Sector (Police) Check and TB Test and proof of full Covid-19 Vaccination are all required as part of the recruitment process.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
