Loon Kombucha is looking for a Market Manager to help with event management, sales, customer service and deliveries. This is a versatile position that can involve a range of responsibilities. **Overview**:
The Market Manager at Loon Kombucha works primarily out of Ottawa managing Farmers Market season for Loon. At Markets, you will track inventory and ensure adequate stock is available, organize and lead on transportation, manage staff schedules, problem-solve issues, run events and provide overall leadership to markets. You will also spend some time at the brewery assisting with production, and helping to drive wholesale revenues in the region. Some Work from Home responsibilities are included too. A fun, dynamic and empowering role, you will both produce kombucha and sell it, becoming a central part of our team. You'll work directly with customers and clients in person and over the phone. The ability to drive a cargo van or pickup truck is essential.

**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**:(Additional duties may be assigned)

**Production**:

- Participate in and eventually lead the canning process, ensuring for packaging quality and team efficiency
- Assist with inventory counts of finished kombucha stock and other supplies
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
- Label all kegs and other package product in accordance with federal and provincial law using appropriate keg collars, labels and date codes.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time
- Other duties as required

**Event Management**:

- Represent Loon Kombucha regularly at farmers market and occasional events, festivals and promotions.
- Promote good public relations and handle complaints and concerns.
- Manage event staff, perform inventory counts, prepare forecasts, prepare itineraries and make logístical arrangements
- Maintain Loon Kombucha market equipment
- Transport equipment to market on time, set up and disassemble booth
- Display high energy, enthusiasm and outgoingness to attract customers to the booth
- Lead brand awareness at market and ensure sales staff deliver key messages
- Answer questions and educate consumers about Loon Kombucha
- Promote all local retailers who carry Loon Kombucha on tap and in bottles
- Maintain a clean booth and professional appearance at all times

**Sales and Marketing**:

- Deliver product to local customers as required, finding efficient routes to ensure expediency
- Drop samples for new prospective wholesale clients
- Call on clients to collect wholesale and home delivery orders

**Education and Experience (some combination of)**:

- Event Management Experience
- Strong understanding of kombucha
- Valid G License, clean driving record
- Experience managing a team
- Customer service experience
- Sales and Marketing experience
- Willingness to acquire Food Safety Handling Certificate

- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional manner.
- Ability to prepare and delivery instructions and procedures.
- Possess the ability to multi-task and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced and evolving work environment
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physical strength to lift kegs and cases is essential

- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product. AND/OR Extremely close visual attention such as making delicate adjustments to control high speed operations to exercise very precise muscular control.
