**About Us**
**Job Summary**:
The Spare Parts and Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the overall inventory, procurement, sales, and shipping of parts and materials. This role focuses on maintaining optimal stock levels, proactively driving spare parts and kits sales, and ensuring operational efficiency to minimize customer downtime. Additionally, the role supports parts strategy development, monitors parts usage, and collaborates closely with the Parts Coordinator to streamline order fulfillment and inventory processes.
**Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Manage the procurement, inventory, sale, and shipping of spare parts and materials to ensure stock availability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Parts Coordinator to process and fulfill spare parts and kits orders generated from customer requests.
- Proactively engage with customers to drive sales of spare parts and kits and prevent downtime through preemptive replacements.
- Monitor spare parts usage trends and analyze data to anticipate customer needs and coordinate part replacements with customers and service dispatch.
- Optimize inventory levels using procurement and warehousing systems, preventing stockouts and minimizing obsolete stock.
- Create, update, and maintain spare parts kits, ensuring relevance to customer and operational requirements.
- Generate and maintain updated spare parts lists, ensuring obsolete parts and kits are identified and removed from inventory.
- Update spare parts and tooling data in project folders to support Aftermarket operations and project documentation.
- Develop strategies to improve inventory management processes, such as enhancing safety stock levels and reducing lead times.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by coordinating with procurement, engineering, warehouse, and service teams to align on stock availability and delivery timelines.
**Performance c**riteria include but are not limited to**:
- Ensure seamless collaboration with the Parts Coordinator to deliver timely and accurate order processing and fulfillment.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize downtime and avoid excess or obsolete stock.
- Proactively increase parts and kits sales through customer outreach and engagement.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across procurement, warehousing systems, and project folders.
- Support customer satisfaction by anticipating needs and offering proactive solutions for parts availability.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields is an asset.
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or spare parts coordination.
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor SyteLine is an asset).
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes, stock optimization, and warehousing systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to inventory management.
- Strong communication and sales skills to engage customers and drive parts sales.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends to inform inventory decisions.
**Other Requirements**:
- Ability to lift and handle parts/materials as needed.
- Valid driver's license for occasional travel (if required).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
