We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and dedicated permanent, full-time **Maintenance Worker** to join our team at St. Michael's Health Group Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance, repairs and cleaning duties to ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and attention to detail in building maintenance, grounds-keeping, and customer service.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- General Building Maintenance & Repairs: Perform minor repairs, including changing light bulbs, replacing hinges, caulking, adjusting equipment, and unblocking sinks, painting, wall patching, etc.
- Facilities Support: Set up rooms for events, move furniture, and maintain sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots if necessary.
- Safety Checks: Conduct fire extinguisher checks, monitor HVAC systems, and record water temperatures.
- Customer Service: Maintain respectful communication with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in rotating weekend on-call shifts to handle urgent maintenance needs.
- High School Diploma required.
- At least one year of experience in general maintenance and grounds-keeping preferred.
- Basic mechanical and gardening skills, strong verbal and written communication, excellent customer service skills.
- Valid Driver's License, Criminal Record Check, and the ability to follow health and safety protocols.
- A current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
- A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
