Welcome to Blüm: a newly-built modern licensed childcare facility in Tuxedo Park and West Hillhurst. We are looking for **Substitute (On-Call) Early Childhood Educators**to provide planned and unplanned absence coverage to our full-time primary Educator Team. The position has no guarantee of hours as it acts as a backup support for planned (vacation) and unplanned (illness) absences of the core Educator team. It is an ideal role for someone who is looking for flexible employment with varying availability and to gain experience in a leading licensed childcare space.

**Blüm Childcare Academy** offers a child-centric program in a carefully designed space with Montessori principles within the FLIGHT Framework that prioritizes a calm, neutral, and clutter-free philosophy.

Core Qualifications:

- Level 1, 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Certification from the Government of Alberta
- Police clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check (for Employment)
- First Aid + CPR training
- AHS Safety Basics for Childcare

Additional Skills Required:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English (and any other language is a bonus)
- Flexible attitude to responsibilities & tasks assigned
- Tolerance and understanding of cultural diversity and inclusivity
- Respects confidentiality as it relates to families, students and other team members in a professional and ethical manner
- Upholds the Blüm principles of clutter-free Montessori design

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 40 per week
