Job Overview

**Duties**

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
  • Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Cook and plate dishes according to established standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Responsibility for opening and closing duties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred (Minimum 1 year experience in a kitchen)
  • Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and has their Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Great time-management skills and reliable
