**About Sunco Foods**

Sunco Foods Inc. is a fast-growing business, specializing in the manufacturing of nut butters and the importing and distribution of raw nuts, dried fruits and seeds. Focusing on consumer trends since 2009, our teams work diligently to provide exceptional products and customer service. We are committed to partnering with our customers to grow their business by providing quality products competitively priced.

**Shipping/Receiving Specialist**

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Specialist to take charge of our warehouse operations. In this critical role, you’ll lead a team, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound logistics while maintaining high standards in safety, accuracy, and documentation. You’ll be the go-to person for routing shipments, verifying deliveries, managing inventory audits, and optimizing warehouse layout—all while playing a pivotal role in supporting production and purchasing teams.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, physical work environment and bring leadership experience from manufacturing or distribution settings, we’d love to hear from you. Food safety knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and comfort with manual processes are a big plus.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the warehouse team during the shift.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee outbound shipping activities including order verification, route mapping, pallet loading, and outbound planning.
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and pick tickets; document and manage returns and non-conforming items in line with company policy.
- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing slips, logs) for compliance and traceability.
- Optimize warehouse layout to enhance space utilization, workflow, and product accessibility.
- Conduct and supervise cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accurate stock records.
- Uphold proper handling standards, including food safety protocols and allergen-control procedures during storage and put-away.
- Accurately pick, stage, build, wrap, and load pallets for secure transport.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts); promptly report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment including outdoor yard and shelving areas.
- Inspect packaging supplies and materials to ensure availability and quality.
- Schedule and prioritize daily inbound and outbound activities to align with production and delivery timelines.
- Communicate proactively with production and purchasing teams to coordinate material flow and operational needs.
- Identify and escalate safety hazards or workflow inefficiencies to management in a timely manner.
- Assist with courier pickups and fleet coordination when necessary.
- Guide team performance: train new team members, delegate tasks effectively, and facilitate smooth shift handovers to ensure operational continuity.

- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing and distribution setting.
