Client Support Worker

Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin (CFSPD) is a non-profit, charitable organization reflecting the values consistent with Catholic social teachings. CFSPD is a dynamic, growing family service agency serving all areas of Peel and Dufferin.

**Position Summary**

CFSPD is currently seeking a Client Support Worker who will provide a high level of administrative support to clients, staff and agency programs to provide a responsive and efficient front door to the agency and to facilitate an effective office environment. The incumbent will also perform reception duties.

The Client Support Worker will report to the Program Supervisor. This position will be based in Brampton, Ontario however some travel may be required.

**Responsibilities**

**_Support to Clients and Collateral Contacts_**
- Provide reception support and effectively triage clients and inquiries from community partners and other referral sources.
- Provide internal referrals to agency programs.
- Provide information on community resources appropriate to clients' identified needs.
- Notify client regarding appointment availability, including booking appointments and cancellations when necessary.
- Assist and collect client fees, and client or third-party billing as required.

**Program administrative Duties**
- Assist with fee payments, banking deposits, petty cash, and cheque requisitions.
- Perform general administrative duties to include but not limited to photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing, ordering business cards, shredding, filing and courier.
- Collect and record fees, complete daily balance sheets and other client fee reports as required.
- Maintain office petty cash box with supply of public transit fares.
- As designated, prepare bank deposits with other designated staff.
- Develop and maintain an accessible database and filing system of agency document templates.
- Track, maintain, and update program specific client counts.
- Provide additional administrative support to management, as required.
- Provide IT and administrative support at agency staff events, as required.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly and welcoming office environment.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related social service discipline or equivalent experience. Social Service Worker preferred
- Must possess 2 + years of office-related experience.
- Understanding the dynamics of domestic violence and its effects on women and children.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to deal tactfully with community members, and staff.
- Working knowledge pertaining to modern office methods and procedures, equipment and filing systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail oriented with ability to check documents for accuracy.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check.
- A valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and relevant insurance.
