We are currently seeking an energetic self-starter to join our team as a full-time **Financial Coordinator**.

**About this opportunity**:
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and administering the financial records, systems and processes of the Society, including accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and benefits, record keeping, banking, insurance and all related financial and office administration. Addressing day-to-day issues arising within the portfolio.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Manage the company’s paper and electronic data records, ensuring their completeness and integrity.
- Record detailed transactions for individual investments under assigned portfolio.
- Collect, allocate and post transactions. Post general ledger entries using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance.
- Prepare internal financial statements, investigating any discrepancies and prepare various other financial reports.
- Record detailed foreign exchange transactions and contracts, verifying the accuracy and completeness of information.
- Work safely, following legislation and established safe work procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Your qualifications**:

- Post Secondary degree or diploma in an accounting related program.
- Minimum three years relevant work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software (such as Simply Accounting or AS400).
