**Responsibilities & Requirements**
- Development of goal-focused activities
- Implementation of programs
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Formal training in the area of skill development and behavior management an asset.
- Requires physical strength, good balance, mobility and endurance for recreational activities.

- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy

- Current Broader Sector Check
- Full COVID Vaccination Receipt
- Driver’s Abstract, ‘G’ Class Driver’s License
**Qualifications**
- 1 year of experience working as DSW is preferred
- Diploma in Developmental Support Worker
- Valid CPR
- Valid VSC
- UMAB Certification (Full certification)
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Organizational, Administrative, and Report-Writing Skills
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ajax, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Working with persons with developmental disabilities: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Broad Record Check (preferred)
- UMAB Certification (Full certification of 3 days) (required)
- DSW Diploma (preferred)
Work Location: In person
