**Description**: Thompson Construction Group is currently seeking a charismatic and experienced individual to join our Corporate Services Team. This individual would be required to be versatile in marketing, human resources and administration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct new hire orientations
- Audit project locations for HR documentation requirements
- Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Updating the marketing aspects of our social media.
- Conduct market research, determine target markets and their various characteristics, determine needs and expectations of target market.
- Develop and design innovative marketing solutions.
- Implement/manage marketing procedures and processes, evaluate existing practice and opportunities for standardization.
- Align with teams to engage channel partners, exploring collaboration opportunities and joint marketing programs
- Track all marketing initiatives.
- Review branding, positioning of the company to ensure impact and awareness.
- Event planning and coordination.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Previous experience in Human Resources or Safety is an asset (Business Administration, Marketing or Degree in HR).
- Excellent in Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Superb writing, content development and editing skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented.
- Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Work some evenings and Weekends.
- Experience in Corel Draw, Photoshop and/ or Illustrator would be considered an asset.
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
