**Construction Site Superintendent - New Construction/Multi Family Developments** **Mission Statement: People Passion Progress Trust** VPAC Construction Group is looking for an individual who possesses a vast array of knowledge and experience in multi-family construction to join our team as a Site Superintendent in Squamish, BC. We are looking with for an individual with strong leadership skills that will hold the team accountable for monitoring project momentum, scheduling, proper procedures, quality control, job site safety and has a strong commitment to the team. This person must be familiar with all aspects of construction and have the necessary skills and abilities to coordinate trades and materials, drive a schedule, complete site documentation, and communicate effectively with others. **About the Role**: - Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion working in partnership with the Project Manager - Manage all aspects of the construction site, while maintaining a professional, safe, and organized site - Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards - Advise project team of conflicts in construction progress, quality of work or scheduling - Lead project meetings with trades and provide guidance and direction when needed - Excellent eye for finish detail - Prepare lookahead schedules on a weekly basis for Project Manager & Subcontractors - Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control including deficiency lists - Identify items to be submitted as Request for Information to the Architect/Engineer or Owner prior to problem development at the site - Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to the growth and development of the company while setting a professional leadership example - Compliance to Work Safe BC Regulations **About You**: - Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Concrete, Wood Frame construction - Multi Family Projects as a Superintendent or similar direct supervisory role - Combination of work experience and/or certification/training in an industry related trade - Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry - Solid understanding of current construction practices, working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications - Ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment - Strong leader, able to communicate clearly and promote teamwork - Reliable and high priority put on maintaining and building client relationships - Desire to continually learn and improve - Adhere to VPAC Safety Manual procedures **What VPAC Offers**: - Full-time, career opportunity - Excellent group benefits - Dynamic work environment in a fun and growing company - Competitive compensation package For the past 2 decades, VPAC has built a reputation for excellence in pre-construction, construction management, and general contracting services for commercial, multi-family, and seniors’ housing projects.
