Civil Foreman

Foreman/Superintendent – Earthworks and Utilities On behalf of our client, MatchBox Consulting Group, we are seeking an experienced Foreman/Superintendent specializing in earthworks and utilities projects to oversee civil projects in Squamish. What You’ll Do Supervise installation of underground utilities including sanitary, storm, and water systems, as well as manholes and service connections. Oversee excavation, backfilling, compaction, and grading activities to ensure compliance with design elevations and specifications. Coordinate and monitor hardscape construction such as curbs, sidewalks, and surface finishes. Manage on-site crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maintain workflow and project timelines. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and WorkSafeBC regulations. Conduct daily site inspections, maintain progress tracking, and generate detailed documentation including photos and extra work reports. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding scope, schedule, and any field challenges. Liaise with inspectors, engineers, and utility representatives to ensure compliance and coordination. What You Bring To The Team 3–5 years of foreman experience in civil underground utilities and earthworks. In-depth knowledge of pipe installation techniques, trench safety, and manhole installation. Familiar with MMCD standards and municipal inspection requirements. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively. Proficient with Microsoft Office and SiteDocs for reporting and documentation. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and dependable transportation. Why Join Us?
