Compensation: $49,000 - $51,000 + benefits, depending on training and experience

About the Job:
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, or their designate, the Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk is responsible for performing accounting duties with focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and assisting with month-end deliverables; providing timely, accurate and complete financial information and reports for clients of AWRS; ensuring accuracy of AR and AP subledgers; processing intercompany and bank transfers; processing vendor invoices through AP Invoicing system and preparing vendor cheques; communicating with internal personnel and customers (owners and tenants) in regard to receivable issues such as rent, strata fees childcare fees, and vendors in regards to payable issues; ensuring managers comply with signing authority policy during processes; assisting in preparation of month-end deliverables; processing pre-authorized debit payment; entering invoices (A/R and A/P) and receipts (both Ministry and client payments) into the system; preparing and making cash/cheque bank deposits for multiple accounts; preparing schedules and aged AR and AP reports for monthly reporting and year-end audits; other duties as required.
About You:
You are a detail-oriented person, who is able to prioritize and manage your time well and are committed to attending work regularly and on time. You are a forward-thinking change agent with strong professional and personal attributes. You have at least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in Excel; you are able to type 50 wpm; you may have experience with Sage 300 software; you have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and complete assignments under strict deadlines; you have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills and you are comfortable working independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.
Additional Requisites/Assets:
- Covid-19 and flu Vaccinations are required, except with validated exemptions.
- Fluency in a language(s) other than English is an asset.
- You must have a legal authorization to work in Canada.
