General Manager

THE COMPANY

Sunsel is an electronics manufacturing company servicing OEM clients across Canada and the USA. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with the expertise to source materials, design, build, and test products to specifications. The products that Sunsel manufactures are utilized everyday in industries such as Communications, Oceanographic Sciences, Transportation, Entertainment and Food & Hospitality.

THE ROLE

The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the Sunsel Systems overall business plan. The General Manager coordinates and oversees day to day operations with an emphasis on revenue management, controlling costs and business development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with new and existing customers or suppliers to develop opportunities and strategies for growth.
- Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Establishes sales objectives and budgets by forecasting and developing annual sales goals projecting expected sales volume.
- Increasing overall sales by developing sales action plans and create strong relationships with all customers, suppliers and relevant business professionals.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supplyand demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Alongside leading and supporting, the General Manager, contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Coordinate sales and process improvement.
- Managing all incoming purchase orders from order implementation to shipping.
- Working closely with the Human Resource Specialist to build policies and procedures.
- Working closely with the Human Resources to recruit, maintain and review the employees.
- Main liaison for Public Relations as well as between customers and suppliers for Sunsel.
- Supervision of all departments generally to maintain contact with all departments and periodically hold meetings to discuss progress and operations.
- Helping to implement procedures and conduct reviews that help production, sales and work flows that improve overall company productivity.
- Understanding, promoting and implementation of all Sunsel Health and Safety Procedures
- Perform other related duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The General Manager must have a Marketing or Commerce related degree with 3 -5 years of experience or equivalent; possess a valid driver’s license and have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
