**Responsibilities**:

- Compilation and distribution of tender invitations;
- Review drawings and specifications and make project notes;
- Perform preliminary concept budgets based on concept design sketches;
- Able to develop estimates from first principles for various hard-trades with a preference to: Mechanical, Piping, Concrete, Structural Steel, and Civil works;
- Quantity take-off and extensions;
- Complete estimate based on detail quantities;
- Schedule/man-hour analysis and comparison;
- Analyze the total labour required for the project;
- Estimate indirect costs;
- Review specifications by trade/work section, set up sub-contract closing sheets;
- Review and adjust trade scopes accordingly;
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost analysis reports for comparing overall unit costs and trade unit costs for completed projects;
- Performing the tasks required to complete estimates/budgets for multiple scopes of work.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of Construction Estimating experience;
- Knowledge in construction best practice and methodology;
- Knowledge in industrial, fabrication, and mining industry standards;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Ability to read and understand drawings and technical documents;
- Detail oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail;
- Ability to plan ahead and meet critical deadlines;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
