**About ODRA**
At ODRA Road Sweepers, the Material Planner plays a vital role in ensuring our US & Canada operations (Winnipeg, MB; Grand Forks, ND; Dallas, TX) have the components they need, when they need them. This hybrid role combines inventory planning and logistics coordination to support production, service, and aftermarket needs.
You will manage planning for inbound materials (including overseas container shipments), maintain inventory accuracy across all three warehouse locations.
**Role Overview**
The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability and flow of materials across ODRA’s operations in Winnipeg (MB), Grand Forks (ND), and Dallas (TX). This hybrid role combines production planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination to support our manufacturing, service, and aftermarket teams.
You’ll oversee the movement of materials from international and domestic suppliers, manage inventory levels across three warehouse locations, and align material needs with production schedules to keep our builds running smoothly.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
- Plan container shipments from international suppliers and coordinate inbound logistics
- Monitor part availability and ensure Just-In-Time supply for production and service teams
- Support audits, year-end inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and storage
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and engineering teams to align on material needs
- Maintain accurate part records, lead times, and planning parameters in ERP system
- Ensure shipping documentation, labeling, and carrier coordination is handled with accuracy and timeliness
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in materials planning and purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Experience coordinating with multiple warehouses or production locations is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally
