**Job Description Summary**:
STEMCELL is looking for a highly motivated, early-career scientist interested in an alternative to the traditional academic career path. Join our team of Scientists Helping Scientists and build a stable and rewarding scientific career in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.

Working within the immunology team, you’ll work with a novel automated cell separation system to develop workflows and reagents to support cell-based therapies. By pairing an innovative approach with your deep technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in cellular immunology techniques and immunotherapy workflows, you’ll drive the development of novel products and technologies that help advance scientific discovery.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Fully responsible for the assigned product line(s), including: set performance criteria, ensure quality of experimental design, project planning, product optimization, and launch
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex scientific and technical investigations
- Contribute to business plans for new products and new product proposals, as well as support corporate goals through innovative product development and identifying emerging markets
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues across tissue teams and across departments, and serve as a scientific ambassador of the company to external partners
- Responsible for the mentoring of direct reports as well as the training of personnel on laboratory techniques and protocols

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- In-depth knowledge, skills, and expertise equivalent to a PhD in Immunology or a related field, with 1-3 years of post-doctoral training preferred
- Experience with human immune cell types (T, NK, B and/or Monocyte), immunotherapy workflows, and immune cell functional assays required
- Familiarity with lab instrument automation and GMP regulatory procedures is highly desired
- Proficient in independent experimental design, execution, and data analysis, with product, methodology, and/or technology development experience an asset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) both in one-on-one and in group settings and team oriented behavior is a must
