**Job Description Summary**:
Do you enjoy solving complex problems, building relationships with collaborators, and continuously learning in a fast-paced and innovative environment? STEMCELL is looking for a highly motivated, early-career chemist interested in an alternative to the traditional academic career path.

Working within the Chemistry Research team, your creative mindset, combined with your deep technical knowledge of lipid nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, will be utilized to identify emerging technologies and develop novel products. In collaboration with your peers, you will continuously improve and support our existing product portfolios to provide scientists around the world with cutting-edge products and technologies that help advance scientific discovery.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the assigned product line(s), including performance criteria, research and quality design, product launch, and technical support
- Independently identify areas of improvement and generate 1-5 year product development plans
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues across tissue teams and departments, and adapt communication styles to specific audiences and situations
- Serve as a scientific ambassador of the company to promote the STEMCELL brand and mission

**Knowledge and Qualifications**:

- In-depth knowledge, skills, and expertise equivalent to a PhD in chemistry, formulation science, or chemical engineering, with 1 year postdoc or industry experience preferred
- Experience with lipid nanoparticles, colloids, polymer nanoparticles, liposomes required, with an understanding of material and surface characterization including nanoparticle sizing, SEC, chemical assays, NMR, Mass Spectrometry an asset
