We’re seeking Security Guards to fill permanent positions coming available at one of our mining sites in northern BC.

Our staff work on a 14-days on / 14-days off rotation schedule in this role. The primary duties are:

- site access control
- reporting
- providing road use orientation and directions to incoming drivers
- baggage search and screening

**Compensation starts at $22.00 per hour plus eligibility to join extended health care and insurance benefits at 6 months, and RRSP matching after 1 year of full-time employment.**

**Protocols for COVID-19 have been implemented at this work site, in accordance with Health Authority guidelines. Employees are expected to follow established health and safety protocols at all times.**

**The following are provided by Western Protection Alliance Inc. and/or our client's Camp Services**:

- Travel to and from worksite and Vancouver, BC (or other approved city airport),
- Onsite accommodations, and
- Meals and snacks while on shift (most dietary restrictions can be accommodated).

**Requirements for this position**:

- Valid BC Security Worker (Guard) license
- Clear criminal record
- Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license with clear abstract
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and operating systems, and willing to learn to use new programs as needed
- Comfortable driving remote roads
- Knowledge of security access control and screening procedures
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Professional presentation (uniform provided)
- Sharp attention to detail
- Adaptability to varied workloads and pace of work
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a group and follow direction
- Comfortable traveling in small aircraft and working in remote areas
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English fluency
