**Job Summary**

Coordinate linehaul traffic for Overland West Freight Lines

**Work Schedule**:
Monday-Friday 9:00 - 5:30

**Essential Functions**:

- As part of the linehaul team, establish, modify and execute nightly dispatch plan.
- Update trip sheets & records in the dispatch system, ensuring the accuracy of miles paid and log hours.
- Day to day communication, via phone and ELD, with drivers to ensure proper load instructions are passed along and carried out.
- Communicate with cartage to ensure they meet inbound cut times.
- Manage breakdown situations and follow up with maintenance to ensure that freight is moved through to destination as quickly as possible.
- Monitor all outbound cut-off times to protect service.
- Monitor linehaul driver performance.
- Enlist and coordinate third party carriers to move overflow loads in a cost-efficient manner.
- Track linehaul driver vacation schedules and keep information current
- Minimum of **3** years linehaul dispatch experience in the logistic and transportation industry
- Familiar with operations related to Long Combination Vehicles (LCV)
- Strong organizational skills, planning skills, and multitasking ability
- A customer service mindset and excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Salary to be negotiated dependent on experience
