Aurora, Canada Summit Veterinary Pharmacy Full time

Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is seeking one full-time permanent General Cleaners/Maintenance to join our busy General Operations Department team.

Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Our mission is to set the standard for excellence in veterinary compounding; enabling veterinarians to fulfill their commitment to their clients' health and well-being.

**Principle Responsibilities**:

- Clean offices, meeting rooms and compounding facilities
- Clean, dust and disinfect, furniture, fixtures, entrance and exits including glass, doors and hardware
- Sweep, vacuum and mop floors
- Clean GCP (Good Compounding Practices) areas, which include washing walls, stairs, ceilings (where possible) and floors. Cleaning pails and drums
- Clean kitchen sinks, counter, lunch tables, microwaves etc.
- Empty all garbage and recycling
- Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, Mirrors, hand dryers and fixtures
- Report minor maintenance repairs, damages and/or acts of vandalism, in a communication log
- Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and inventory i.e., paper towel, soap, toilet paper
- Document routine cleaning and maintenance duties as required
- Assist with the movement of equipment and any maintenance related activities
- Perform all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
- Perform additional tasks at the request of management (Duties as assigned)

Facility/Additional
- Snow Removal -Assist in ensuring that walkways and entrances ways are cleared of snow, ice and salted/sand as required.

**Preferred Skills**
- Custodial experience
- Preferred knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Effective communicator (written and oral)
- Self-starter
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical Effort: Bending, standing, kneeling, lifting from floor, lifting over shoulder level, pushing, pulling, carrying, walking. Must be able to lift over 25lb without any assistance.

**1-**Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (Subject to change due to COVID-19 Pandemic)

**2-**Monday to Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm (Subject to change due to COVID-19 Pandemic)
- May be required to work additional hours

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
