Our headquarters and main manufacturing facility is located York, PA, With 10 current locations across North America and growing, C-P Flexible Packaging is one of the top 25 flexible packaging companies in the U.S. We are looking for Packers to join our Team in Aurora, Ontario. **Job Summary**: To inspect and neatly pack product to ensure that bags going to The Customer are of proper quantity and quality. **Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities**: - Visually inspect bag seals, print and position for defaults and quality. - Collect pre-determined number of bags and pack into boxes. - Seal and properly label filled boxes to prepare for shipping. May include stacking boxes on skids. - Construct boxes by folding and taping. - Maintain area around machine for cleanliness. **Qualifications**: - Ability to count - counting bags into boxes - Ability to read and write English - inspecting bags - Manual dexterity - sorting and putting bags into boxes **Other knowledge, skills and abilities**: - Ability to communicate deficiencies to Operator and Supervisor - Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards. - Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. - Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. **Physical Demands**: - Some light lifting - limited - Continuous standing - Gripping - Manual dexterity - Reaching **Working Conditions**: - Working 12 hr. shifts. - Work in a manufacturing environment around machinery (concrete flooring). - Overtime as required - Follow all safety regulations and rules at all times, including wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE): - Eye Protection/ Safety glasses - Steel toe shoes - Hearing protection - Hairnets and beard nets - Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment: hot conditions during summer months and cool conditions during winter months. (consistently) - Must be able to prioritize/multi-task, be a team player and able to adapt to change - Work around solvents, ink, adhesives, and cleaners used in the manufacturing process.
