**TORONTO MFRC**
The Toronto Military Family Resource Centre, MFRC, is a community-based, charitable organization focused on the delivery of services, resources and supports to the military and Veteran family community throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are located in the area of Downsview Park and are easily accessible by public transit with free parking on site.
**Purpose of Position**
This is a full time, permanent, bargaining unit position, classified at FS-01.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver an innovative, bilingual, organizational marketing plan to promote programs and services to the military and Veteran family community;
- Responsible for all aspects of organization’s online presence;
- Create, design, format, proofread and update communications content;
- Use recognized analytical tools and expertise to assess contact with target communitythrough various communication methods and develop recommendations to broaden reach throughout target community;
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of information and the protection of organizational brand and reputation through communications and online presence;
- Communicate with military and Veteran families via digital media and in person to both deliver and receive service related information;
- Participate in budget and resource development for relevant service areas.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Bilingual, English and French;
- Ability to produce communication products that deliver key messages clearly and concisely in both English and French;
- Experience with graphic design, digital production, videography, video editing;
- Experience developing and delivering accessible communication products with sensitivity to AODA requirements;
- Experience using digital analytics to assess community contact and reach;
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in a social service setting;
- Experience working in a customer facing environment, with a wide cross-section of the community representing diverse backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic circumstances;
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
- Experienced in use of client/customer relationship management systems;
- Knowledge of the military lifestyle.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Completion of a University Degree OR College Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Videography or related field;
- Military/Military Family experience considered an asset.
**Competencies**
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Innovative and takes initiative;
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate information in both English and French, clearly and concisely with honesty, tact and diplomacy, both verbally and in writing;
- Flexible and comfortable with change.
**Working Conditions**
- Flexible work schedule, typical work hours Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm;
- Office environment - Business Casual Dress Code;
- Public facing position;
- Included in union membership.
