Drive Happiness is a non-profit volunteer driving organization in Alberta. Our focus is meeting the transportation needs of older adults, helping them retain their independence, and creating awareness of social isolation in seniors.

**About the Position**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Database Management**:

- **Maintain Accurate Account Information**: Create and update the database's account information on members and drivers.
- **Troubleshooting**: Address database issues promptly to ensure seamless operations and data integrity for statistical reports.

**Client Onboarding**:

- **New Client Packages**: Prepare and send out new rider packages.

**Outreach**:

- **Organizational Awareness**: Work with partners and stakeholders to increase organizational awareness.
- **Events and Tradeshows**: Attend events and tradeshows on behalf of the organization to promote its mission and programs.
- **Inquiry Management**: Respond to all inquiry messages promptly and professionally.

**Dispatch Assistance**:

- **Call Management**: Answer calls and forward them to the appropriate staff member.
- **Ride Information**: Vet all calls and obtain detailed ride information from riders.
- **Scheduling**: Accurately enter appointments in the scheduling database.

**Administrative Support**:

- **Daily Administrative Duties**: Perform tasks such as filing, mail processing, record management, ordering office supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- **Executive Support**: Assist with other duties as required at the direction of the Executive Director.

**Volunteer Support**:

- **Recruitment and Retention**: Proactively recruit and retain volunteers to support the program.
- **Marketing and Communication**: Investigate and implement innovative marketing and communication strategies to attract volunteers.
- **Promotion**: Attend fairs and trade shows to promote volunteer recruitment and organizational awareness.
- **Training**: Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in training volunteers on the use of database software.
- **Database Support**: Troubleshoot database issues for volunteers to maintain data integrity for statistical reports.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree**: Preferably in Social Sciences, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, volunteer management, or a related role within a non-profit organization.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and volunteer management software.
- **Problem-solving**: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.

**Application Process**:
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
