_**The Agency**:_
The John Howard Society of Red Deer is a non-profit organization working to promote community harmony through the advocation of human dignity and social justice. We support and serve those involved in the justice system through a restorative process and believe in treating every person with fairness, dignity and compassion while holding each person accountable for their own behavior.
- **The Program**:_
Horizon House is a Community Residential Facility (CRF) contracted by Correctional Services of Canada that provides housing, support and supervision to federal offenders (both male and female) upon their conditional release to the community. We work to successfully support offenders during the reintegration phase of their sentences as well as to assess and mitigate risk during the process.
- **The Position**:_
- **Hours and Compensation**:_
Applicants must be willing and able to work shift work (8 to 10 hour shifts) at a minimum of 4 shifts per month. **Only applicants who have a flexible schedule and are available for weekends and overnight shifts will be considered**. Applicants should clearly indicate their availability upon applying.
- **Requirements**:_
- The ability to obtain a clean advanced criminal record check (Reliability B)
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- A post-secondary certificate/diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant human services field
