- **Position Overview**_
The Dispatch department is the first to welcome our valued customers and must possess, first and foremost, a positive and engaging attitude. The Dispatch Lead reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for the optimal operation of the dispatch department by enforcing operational systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards to meet the Company’s objectives. This person will provide strong leadership, supervision and direction to the part-time dispatch staff. This position works closely with all business units of the flight centre to provide an effortless customer experience to our clients.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- **Aircraft Fleet & Simulator**:

- Responsible for the dispatching of aircraft consistently with, MFC policy and procedures regulated by Transport Canada.
- Monitors ATC communications during operational hours and responds to any issues related to fleet aircraft, escalates to CFI or delegate and advises maintenance when required.
- Maintains aircraft dispatch rate in keeping with the company’s efficiency rate
- Works closely with maintenance and fuelers to ensure clients have “on time” departures
- Responsible for optimizing aircraft bookings, e.g., maintains a “waitlist” in order to fill cancelled flights; monitors “booked to yield”
- **Staff**:

- Supervise part time staff during operational hours for assigned tasks and any issues
- Actively monitors and forecasts attrition
- Works with the Office Manager to deliver new employee onboarding training and recurrent training
- Ensures direct reports receive adequate training
- Make advanced bookings for clients upon request
- Reposition aircraft when needed to ensure on time departures, tie down aircraft at night to prevent damage to aircraft and add oil to aircraft when needed, etc.
- **Customer Service**:

- Answer phones and book flights for students/customers
- Greet and assist walk-in traffic
- Coordinate Discovery/Scenic flights, Ground school registrations
- Resolves client complaints or escalates based on severity to the CFI or delegate if unable to satisfy customer
- **Accounting/ Administrative**:

- Responsible for all fuel-reimbursement and accounting duties such as maintaining daily sales transaction, bill back airport and landing fees to clients’ account, and cash deposit.
- Responsible for building open/close according to procedures
- Enter all ground briefings and flights completed by instructors into FlightLogger
- Aircraft numerical tracking is accurately entered between system entry and data tracking, recording in aircraft journal and technical logs
- Accounts receivable tracking and reporting
- Ordering operational supplies when needed
- Demonstrate the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statement and current business practices
- Performs other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- Flight operations experience preferred
- Radio license issued by Industry Canada**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Multitasking ability essential
- Knowledge of programs and pilot training requirements (an asset)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Online QuickBooks preferred

**Working Conditions and Physical Demands**:
Working conditions are typical for an office environment (sitting, standing, stair climbing and walking). Lift or moving up to 15 lbs may be required along with the following:

- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to work with a moderate amount of noise.
- Must be able to spend long periods of time looking at computer screens
- This job can require you to be outside in different weather conditions.
- **Training on industry specific requirements and programs will be provided.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
