**Job Description**:
Reporting to the General Manager of Flint Wear Technologies as well as the Director, HSE, the HSE Lead supports the internal HSE program administration and the facilitation of the overall compliance to the corporate Safety Management System.
You will be responsible for assisting with improving the overall effectiveness of the business unit’s HSE program. This role provides support in maintaining manuals, correspondence, client correspondence, and internal and external reports.
**This is a permanent position based out of our Sherwood Park Shop.**
**What would you be doing?**
- Update, and maintain the safety orientation for new hires.
- Produce, maintain and update internal and external health and safety records and reports/compliance tracker.
- Work with District Managers to ensure compliance with the Company’s HSE program.
- Maintain filing system and Environmental Safety and Driver Orientations/Checklists.
- Attend corporate safety team huddle, monthly safety meetings and any other meeting Project or District Managers need.
- Tracking and reporting on monthly safety statistics and KPI’s.
- Auditing Field operations to ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
- Creating and leading the implementation of safety deliverables such as; Environmental Safe Driving Framework, Short Service Worker Program and Competency Program.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Does this sound like you?**
- 5+ years of experience in Safety Program development preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with WCB practices/processes.
- Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Knowledge of the Incident Management processes which includes incident reporting, corrective action, investigation and analysis, and incident closure.
- Ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
- Ability to liaise with all levels of the organization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Professional certification as CSO, NCSO, CHSC, or Occupational Health and Safety certificate is preferred.
