Cion is a Building Science / multi-disciplined Engineering firm. Cion’s primary goal is to provide technical services to meet the needs of the property and facility management industry. Cion's core staff comprises a blend of, engineering, architectural and information management experts specializing in the inspection and evaluation of buildings and building information including; rehabilitation design engineering, building envelope investigations, reserve fund studies, building condition assessments, performance audits, structural assessments and drawing and document management services /software.

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures that all projects are invoiced in accordance with the client contract and they liaise with the client to ensure outstanding invoices are paid. They post all incoming payments and ensure that any discrepancies in payments are resolved.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Sets-up/updates billing terms in the accounting system according to the contract/change orders
- Coordinates with the Project Manager and/or Operations to ensure monthly invoices are issued on time
- Generates Aged Receivable reports and assists in collection efforts
- Maintains A/R records, including records of all incoming payments
- Prepares and sends invoices and account statements to clients
- Communicates with clients to ensure payments of outstanding invoices
- Investigates and resolves discrepancies in both incoming and outgoing payments
- Regularly audits payments/receipts to ensure accuracy in accounting
- Generates reports

**Required Skills**:

- Have successfully completed related post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma in Accounting
- Possess knowledge of accounting principles and guidelines

Required Experience
- 3-5 years of general accounting experience in architectural/engineering consulting
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, VantagePoint or other accounting systems software
