Independent Mechanical Supply Inc. Plumbing Estimator Position Description

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately identify and interpret the plumbing products on a job specification, scope of work, or RFQ documents
- Assemble approval drawing and maintenance manual packages for outside sales representatives and customers
- Accurately enter quotes into Independent’s ERP system
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Coordinate customer returns
- Maintain system pricing
- Negotiate project pricing
- Assist customers in sourcing products and solutions to their technical problems
- Maintain and update records of project estimates and related documentation
- Request vendor pricing from multiple vendors
- Follow up with customers on quoted projects
- Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Requirements
- One year or more experience with and superior knowledge of wholesale plumbing
- Experience with Office 365, Order Entry Software, and Internet Information Gathering/Research
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven fast paced environment
- Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Established history of demonstrating the ability to pay attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Order Entry Software and Internet Information Gathering/Research
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, planning and team building skills
- Customer centric - Obsessive about providing excellent customer service.
