As a key member of the Inventory Team, the Inventory Control Associate oversees a team of experienced Inventory Control Associates and is responsible for keeping track of inventory controls & replenishment changes in the system. In this capacity, as Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring all inventory data is up to date, accurate and reflective of current inventory levels so to ensue that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include, but are not limited to the following:

- plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment
- Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
- Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored.
- See to proper inventory to ensure customers’ demands are met in the most efficient manner obtainable.
- Work directly with management to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow.
- Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock.
- Review balance of inventory and count the items in stock.
- Initiate policy changes regarding inventory management oversight in line with organizational policy.
- Perform managerial functions, including retraining members of staff of the warehouse if necessary.
- Assist with Hire of new staff when openings become available.
- Liaise with management in implementing disciplinary actions against warehouse staff found wanting for offenses that require management decisions.
- Set up schedules for the warehouse; monitor staff performances, and conduct reviews
- Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately related to inventory level discrepancies.
- Identifies and optimizes common inventory items.
- Implements and deploys sound based busines decisions to dispose of or sell obsolete items in inventory.
- Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
- Audits the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provides reports to management.
- Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
- Files claims with manufacturers or sellers when defective goods are found in the inventory.
- Instructs others on how and where to return defective goods.
- Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
- Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
- Compiles reports and maintains detailed and accurate records of changes of any inventory in Warehouse Management System (“WHMS”) which allows the Company to keep track of supply and demand over long periods of time.
- Special Projects - It is recognized that there are many one off, special projects that the Inside Sales Associate will be responsible for. These projects will vary in scope and will be assigned by the Management.
- Drive Forklift to accurately count inventory in warehouse and showroom

**INVENTORY PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT**
- Responsible to develop and maintain a motivated and competent Inventory team, capable of achieving the departments goals.
- Leads the professional development and training of the Inventory team.
- In consultation with the Assistant Warehouse Manager, sets priorities and action plans to achieve objectives as set out in the Inventory environment.
- Oversees and ensures that daily health & safety standards are followed thru and met.
