AI Industries, the largest structural and miscellaneous Steel Fabricator in BC is looking for a Steel Estimator to join its team. You'll be a part of a team that does structural steel and miscellaneous steel take offs for BCs and Washington States largest steel projects including schools, office buildings, steel towers, community centers and other steel buildings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly reviewing all documents received, including Contract drawings and specifications
- Performing a material take-off and a labour assessment
- Complete detailed take-offs for quantities and materials
- Developing a pricing structure and supplying the price to the Contractor on closing day
- Using resources to find prospective bids ie, internet, plan rooms and reprographic companies, faxes, mailings, owner’s representative.
- Consulting with Purchasing, Production Manager and Controller to confirm pricing and fabrication schedules.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines.
- MS Office Program - Intermediate to advance level.
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and bid specifications.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills - verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
