Reporting to the Cooperation Chief, the **Cooperative Advisor **is part of a multifunctional team responsible for establishing and maintaining a trusted relationship between Agropur and the dairy producer members in the sectors covered. Whether on the farm or remotely, the Cooperative Advisor ensures the quality of services offered to members and represents Agropur within the agricultural community at the regional level.

**What’s involved in this role**:

- Organize, coordinate and lead knowledge transfer opportunities and facilitators’, regional or other members’ meetings regarding Agropur’s activities or industry updates.
- Support the member in their efforts to deliver quality milk.
- Monitor the improvement of milk quality on the farm;
- Follow-up on non-compliant milk quality test results with members.
- Inform and encourage members to implement animal welfare and sustainability best practices in accordance with Codes, standards, policies, and other Agropur or industry programs (e.g., proAction).
- Coordinate donations and sponsorships at the regional level
- Collaborate with various internal committees regarding member relevant initiatives with a purpose to offer a diverse and quality service offering.
- Remain informed regarding issues that could have an impact on Cooperative members.

What you need to join our team:

- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (e.g., animal, general agricultural, agricultural economics).
- Knowledge of the dairy cattle industry and dairy production.
- Effective and quality communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work in various contexts: autonomously and collaboratively.
- Ability to travel between the various sectors with occasional overnight stays.
- Willingness to adapt to extended working hours, as needed.
- Bilingual, English and French, spoken and written an asset.
- Proficient in the use of computer tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, and capacity to learn new software.
