Inventory Supervisor

**Scope/ Overview of Position**:
Launched in 1979 as a wholesale and distribution company, SDR has transformed itself into a leader in the North American 3PL market, specializing in the fashion, footwear, accessories, and related soft goods fulfillment market niche. Well known within the industry for its attention to detail and the constant strive for perfection, SDR’s success has been supported by a top-notch Warehouse Management system (Manhattan Scale) with RF inventory control and a fully compliant EDI communication solution.
SDR hosts a clientele base in excess of 100 customers with over 1000 vendors. Our footprint is in excess of 2 million square feet throughout North America.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:
- You are impeccably organized and use this skill to multi-task in a variety of warehouse operations
- Create cycle counts and support in the creation and maintenance of current SOPs and work instructions
- Monitor all inventory status and escalate any pending transactions
- Act as the first point of escalation for inventory issues, investigate variances, and communicate inventory discrepancies to clients
- Provide root cause analysis of inventory errors and assist in implementation of corrective actions
- Oversee the receiving and put away processes as needed
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse
- Manage workforce for scheduling of staff, daily work direction and supervision including HR management issues
- Ensure safe working conditions including training employees on proper safety methods
- Verify work orders upon completion for accuracy and compliance with billing
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications, Education and Experience Required**:
- 2-3 years of team lead or supervisory experience in a quality control or inventory control role
- 5 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
- Knowledge and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan Scale) is an asset
- You can handle many tasks at the same time and meet deadlines, while keeping cool
- You are approachable, positive, and enthusiastic.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Forklift experience (reach and walkie) an asset
- Technical proficiency with the ability to adapt to new software systems
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Effective problem solving, investigation and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Overtime may be required, along with occasional weekend work.
