Richmond, Canada SPR Traffic Services LP Full time

Due to a medical leave, we have a contract position available with Mainroad Maintenance Products LP for a Yard Person based out of the Richmond yard located on #5 Road.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a flexible schedule with 3-day weekends. We are looking for Yard Person to maintain the salt distribution at ground level and in the summer season work with our EZ Street Asphalt at the Richmond Yard.

Mainroad Maintenance Products LP is one of the leading suppliers of road de-icing salt selling to maintenance contractors, municipalities, government agencies, contractors and property managers throughout the BC South Coast and Vancouver Island. Additionally, they hold the license to produce, sell and distribute EZ Street Premium Cold Asphalt throughout Canada.
- This position will be scheduled based on seasonal operational needs:_

**April 1st - October 31st** will consist of minimum **two** 8-hour shifts per week (schedule is flexible but preferably Tuesdays and Thursdays).

**November 1st - March 31st**will consist of **four** 10-hour shifts per week (always followed by a 3-day weekend).

**We are looking for a team player who has**:

- Must have front-end loader experience
- Forklift operating experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work both independently with limited direct supervision
- Supervisory experience
- Must be familiar with the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (hoppers, conveyors & augers)
- Product packaging experience would be preferred

**Job duties will include**:

- Directly supervises and physically assists with all Salt Depot activity and EZ Street cold asphalt packaging operations
- Coordinates and supervises seasonal yard staff
- Directs and coordinates the Site Safety program, and ensures all Site Safety requirements are fully met
- Manages product inventory, while ensuring customer requirements are met and product stock loss is minimized
