Laborers, Service Technicians, and Service Sales

Carleton Environmental Services (CES) is looking for **full-time Laborers, Service Technicians, and Service Sales Representatives** to join our team. CES is a family owned and operated business located in rural South Ottawa. We have proudly been serving the community, providing expert and trustworthy waste management and sanitation services to Ottawa and surrounding areas since 1957. Our waste management services include commercial and residential septic pumping services, portable toilet rentals, and grease trap servicing and maintenance. The CES team is customer service focused and committed to providing timely, superior services and products for our clients.

**Laborers** will be responsible for cleaning and repairing portable toilets, inventory control, preparing and delivering orders, cleaning trucks, supporting our Service Technicians, and completing routine yard tasks. Laborers will primarily be based in our Yard; however, they will be expected to complete service routes, deliveries and pickups on an as-needed basis.

**Service Technicians** will be responsible for safely driving a truck, completing service routes, cleaning and stocking supplies for portable toilet rentals, cleaning trucks, assisting with rental inventory, and completing routine yard tasks. Service Technicians are the face of CES for our portable toilet rental customers; they must be respectful, tidy, ensure quality service standards, and proactively address customer concerns. Service Technicians will begin and end their work day at our Yard, but will spend the majority of their work day traveling to complete service routes throughout Ottawa.

**Service Sales Representatives** will be responsible for safely driving a truck, completing service calls, cleaning grease traps, building and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers in the restaurant industry, growing our customer base and identifying new opportunities for grease trap services, supporting our Service Technicians on an as-needed basis, and completing routine yard tasks. Service Sales Representatives are the face of CES for our restaurant customers; they must be respectful, tidy, ensure quality service standards, and proactively address customer concerns. Service Sales Representatives will begin and end their work day at our Yard, but will spend the majority of their work day traveling to complete sales and service calls throughout Ottawa.

**Experience and Skills**
- Must have a valid G class drivers license. An A or DZ license would be an asset (not required).
- Must have experience in the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Must have reliable transport to attend work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Work will be physical and fast-paced.
- Must be willing to work under varying weather conditions (e.g. outside in the heat during summer and in the cold during winter).
- Must be motivated and able to work well independently.
- Must be conscientious and have exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to take direction and follow company policies and procedures, as well as dispatch instructions.
- Experience in customer service environment would be an asset.
- Experience in sales would be an asset.
- Sanitation experience would be an asset; however, sanitation training will be provided because all services must be completed to the highest standard.

**Salary**:Laborers: starting at $20.00 per hour (negotiable depending on skills and experience); Service Technicians and Service Sales Representatives: starting at $22.00 per hour (negotiable depending on skills and experience)
