Janitor

**TLC Pharmaceutical Standards Ltd.** specializes in the custom synthesis of complex organic compounds for use as reference standards by the bio-medical and pharmaceutical industries around the world. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers and the overall community by providing the highest quality reference standards that are accompanied by an extensive and complete certificate of analysis (COA).

TLC offers over 20,000 certified reference standards from stock and we add approximately 2000 new standards yearly. Our product line includes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), drug impurities, amino acid/peptide drug standards, metabolite standards, as well as their stable isotope labelled analogues.

**General**:

- Perform daily cleaning duties on general office and labs in the facilities (e.g., Kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, floors, carpets, desks and chairs, hallways, meeting rooms, garages, etc.).
- Clean, maintain office and kitchen equipment, and surrounding areas. Clean up trash and waste.
- Maintain cleanliness of two buildings.
- Maintaining the work area in a neat and tidy condition.
- Proper and safe use of chemicals, sanitation equipment and other physical hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly.
- Follow company procedures to identify and ensure adequate disposal and handling of waste materials.
- Identify safety concerns and assist to maintain the safety of co-workers and visitors.
- Occasionally helping the purchaser with receiving if needed.
- Various Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**Labs**:

- Ensure dirty glasswares are washed and dried in a timely manner and organize the glassware after drying to their proper location.
- Assist with moving received packages to the appropriate storage location.
- Keeps the waste area clean and ensures all waste is properly placed.
- Remove the garbage in the lab on a daily basis and perform the dusting of the racks and bench area when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities/labs maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills.
- Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Able to work independently.
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Able to pass criminal background check.
