**Job Overview**
Our client, a well-established litigation firm in downtown Toronto, is looking for a Litigation Law Clerk to join their team. This full-time, hybrid role suits a detail-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and supporting complex insurance defence cases.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, and client correspondence related to insurance defence cases
- Organize and summarize key case files, including insurance policies, claim documents, and evidence for ease of reference
- Support lawyers by managing calendars, coordinating court dates, and communicating with courts, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research to assist counsel in developing defence strategies
- Assist in all phases of litigation support from file opening through trial preparation and document management
- Utilize litigation software and tools to maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines

**What You Bring to the Table**:

- Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma or Certificate from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience working as a law clerk, preferably in an insurance defence litigation setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft precise and professional legal documents
- Excellent organizational skills and capacity to juggle competing tasks efficiently
- Self-driven and dependable team member with a professional approach to work

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
