About Workly LawWe are a growing litigation firm seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Senior Litigation Law Clerk with at least 3+ years of experience to support our legal team and provide exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsive, and comfortable wearing many hats in a small firm setting. This role is key to helping our lawyers move files forward efficiently while ensuring a professional and supportive client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesClient ServiceServe as a first point of contact for clients via phone, email, and in personManage client communications with professionalismSchedule client meetings and coordinate lawyer calendarsEnsure timely follow-up with clients on required documents and next stepsMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionLawyer & File SupportOpen and close litigation files in accordance with firm proceduresPrepare and file court documents including pleadings, motion records, affidavits, and briefsOrganize and manage deadlines using Clio or other case management softwareConduct legal research and summarize findings when requiredAssist with preparing hearing and trial materialsManage undertakings, productions, and discovery deadlinesDiarize court dates, limitation periods, and other critical deadlinesAdministrative & Team SupportMaintain electronic and physical file organizationAssist in managing accounts receivable follow-ups related to file progressTrain and support junior administrative staff as neededContribute to improving firm systems and processesParticipate in team meetings and provide status updates on filesQualificationsLaw Clerk diploma or equivalent experience in a litigation-focused environment3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or legal setting Strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures (particularly in Ontario)Proficiency in legal software (Clio preferred), Microsoft Office, court filing systems and AdobeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesClient-focused with a professional and calm demeanorWhy Join Us?We are a small but ambitious firm where your contribution makes a direct impact.
